Manchester Brit Pop legends Oasis are to play the orange tent of Roskilde Festival. The Danish Festival which is older than Glastonbury and shares the charity values. Roskilde 2009 will play host the Gallagher brothers when the festival takes place between 2nd – 5th July 2009.
Other acts already confirmed include fellow brits Coldplay and Madness

Oasis will headline the Roskilde Festival this summer, it has been announced.

The Gallagher brothers join Coldplay at the head of the bill for the Danish event, with other names to be announced in the coming weeks.

Slipknot, Madness, Marnie Stern and The Soft Park are amongst the other acts set to play Roskilde, which takes place on July 2-5.

As reported yesterday, Oasis will also appear at Melt! in Ferropolis, Germany that month, before three shows at Wembley Stadium in September.
